Absolutely beautiful! Photos in the listing just don’t do it justice, it was incredible. There’s so many luxury details throughout the home and they were very much appreciated.
This spot is pretty stunning and definitely worth the climb up the hill for a view over the bay. The fireplace worked really well, and the floor plan was really well thought out. Plus, it’s clean and tidy. And there’s great fishing right out front for the kids, and it’s not too far to get to by boat.
I was so very fortunate to stay at Kahikatea Bay in March and it was beyond my expectations. Perched above a secluded cove, it is a beautiful home with top notch facilities and fixtures. Its location is stunning, as are the views and crystal clear night skies filled with stars. Dawn swims were the perfect start to the day and it will be hard to match the sunset views at cheese and wine o’clock . Our fantastic host Jac made it such a smooth process. From our first enquiries through to booking water taxis and food deliveries. Nothing was any trouble for her. I will definitely be returning…for longer next time. Thank you.
I stayed at Kahikatea Bay in March. It is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all, the accommodation was perfect very comfortable beds and stunning views across the Sound. In fact from every angle you had views overlooking the water even from the bathroom. Everything was very well laid out and also there was every consideration for our needs. It was so clean and stylish, just a gorgeous place to stay. It was such fun picking mussels from the shore and steaming them. An amazing luxurious place to completely unwind. The host has obviously gone to great detail in providing everything for a wonderful retreat.
Given only accessed by boat some coordination and planning required but it is 100% worth it. Such an amazing property, we never wanted to leave! Had the most amazing sunset of our whole 2 weeks in NZ! We got so much support from the hosts that it made the journey smooth and provided all the relaxation we were seeking. Great stay at Kahikatea Bay. Clean, comfortable accommodation in a beautiful and quiet location. Everything was easy and incredibly well set up. Can't wait to stay again.
This place is absolutely outstanding! It would be on a par with Rarotonga (and that's our favorite place to holiday!) The communication from the host was second to none.. just Excellent.. I needed to ask a few questions as I have a disability and she was just so very helpful and informative! We had the best stay over3 nights.. so private and peaceful and had everything you could possibly need! Top of our list to stay again.
Words cannot describe how beautiful this place is. 10/10. secluded and peaceful. Well worth the hike up the stairs! You will not be disappointed if you book this place.
We had the most incredible stay at Kahikatea Bay retreat. The house is sensational, but, the location is the real star of the show! Only 15mins from Picton, but it feels so secluded and private, like you're the only people on earth. The biodiversity of the area was mind blowing. Everything has been well thought out and it makes it very easy to relax and decompress. Lovely comfy beds, clean bathrooms and a kitchen view to die for. We went as a large group and all of us will be back again.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful escape at this beautiful piece of paradise in Marlborough Sound. Arrival at the private jetty surrounded by pristine water was in itself exhilarating. The house has a stunning main living area and two beautiful cabins. The hub of the house is a magnificent space containing a well thought out kitchen, dining and lounge area, complete with fireplace and reading nooks. The views from every window and balcony are spectacular. The cabins with sumptuous beds and beautiful ensuites have views that stretch across the Sound to the mountains beyond. We had an amazing time in this quiet peaceful cove. A special place I have been telling all my friends about, and the wonderful holiday I will never forget.
